It
was my sophomore year in high school (1997 Harrisburg, PA), and we
were nearing the end of the school year. A friend and I went
to another friend's house on a Wednesday night and hung out for a
few hours. The following Sunday, I got a phone call
saying 5 people in my graduating class from school had been in a
car accident and 3 of them died... One being the friend's
house we went to the previous Wednesday. Of course, 3
funerals, and 2 viewings is hard for anybody to go through,
especially being a teenager. I didn't know the 3 well, but
we were acquaintances.
About two weeks after the incident, I got a call at 11pm from
my good friend who happened to live across the street from me.
She was hysterical, saying that her and a friend of hers
were using her Ouija board and it was saying they were talking to
one of the kids who died in the accident. I was very
skeptical thinking maybe it was a prank. But I knew she
wouldn't joke about anything of that nature.
So, I walked over, and found her sitting in her bedroom with
candles around in the dark. I sat down with her, and noticed
that her Ouija board looked very old and was torn a little down
the center. I picked it up and it had a copyright of 1929.
I didn't think they made Ouija boards back then! But
they do. I'm not sure if what happened after this had much
to do with it being such an old Ouija board, but I think so.
My friend told me what to do, and she started talking. She
first asked the board "Is anyone there?", It went to
"YES", and she asked "Who?". It spelled
out the name of the kid who's house I was at the Wednesday before
he died. I didn't believe it, I thought maybe my friend was
looking down and spelling it out. So I decided to ask some
questions that she wouldn't know and couldn't possible know.
I looked away so she wouldn't think the same about me (that
I
was moving the thing). I asked it "Who was at your
house besides me, you, and my friend that came with me (sorry, no
names)?" and I told Marcy to read me the letters it was going
to because I had my head turned. It started spelling out the
name of the other person who was there. I jumped up and
started crying before it even finished spelling it out. I
collected myself and asked more questions to verify to myself that
this was real. "What did we eat at your house?"
and it started spelling out "P-I-Z-Z..." and I again jumped
up hysterical. At that point I knew it was real. My
friend wouldn't have known that because she wasn't there, and I
had my head turned. Again, I
collected myself, and began to ask serious questions since I knew
it was legitimate. I asked "Who do you miss the most
here?" and the reply was "G". That's it,
just the letter "G". At the time, we did not know
what that meant, but we later found out he called his dad
"G" and we saw a birthday card he had given his father,
and it was addressed to "G". I also asked "If
there's something you could say to everyone here, what would it
be?". It replied with "Wear seatbelt".
Another thing the Ouija board kept spelling
out was "L-E-I". To this day, I do not know what
that means coming from him. But it was spelled out over and over.
There were some other questions asked and we got more
replies.
All of a sudden, the board went to the word "GOODBYE".
We looked at each other puzzled, and no less than 2 seconds
later, her grandfather clock struck 12am. She told me that
it's not good to use the Ouija board after midnight.
I'd like to end with saying that this story is 100% true!
